Clyde Pumps, incorporating Weir Pumps Glasgow, has completed the demanding ASME survey for renewing their ASME Certificates of Authorisation used in the supply of ‘N’, ‘NPT’ and ‘NS’ equipment. Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that promotes the art of science and practice of mechanical, multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences throughout the world.

Aftermarket Conference To Improve Customer Offering

Recently Clyde Pumps held the first two Agent Aftermarket Conferences and both were acknowledged by all attendees as major successes.

The first conference was held in Dubai and included Agents from our Africa and Middle East territories and the second conference was held in Thailand which included Agents from South Korea, South Asia and India.

The Clyde Pumps association with the Young Engineers Club at Clarkston Primary School in Airdrie began in 2007 when the school approached the Company looking to build a link to industry for the club…..

2007 Success

In May 2007 the club, made up of boys and girls from Primary 7 at the school, visited Cathcart and spent the day touring the facility, seeing engineering in action and undertaking a series of fun engineering challenges.
