Clyde Pumps Incorporating Weir Pumps Glasgow would like to announce the formation of a subsidiary company in India. This joint venture will be called Clyde Pumps India pvt Limited (CPIL) and brings together the heritage, product portfolio and manufacturing expertise of Clyde Pumps Incorporating Weir Pumps Glasgow and WPIL, formerly Worthington Pumps India Ltd. WPIL is listed on the Mumbai stock exchange and is one of India’s top manufacturers of engineered and standard pumps.

They specialise in the low pressure segment and will make an ideal partner to enable the venture to successfully develop sales in the booming Indian pump market. Long experience in pattern and casting production for standard and exotic materials, as well as established supply chain arrangements, will allow this new venture to rapidly develop into a major manufacturer.

The focus of CPIL will be to supply pumps for the fast growing Indian conventional and nuclear Indian power market which is entering a major development phase. In addition CPIL will supply vertical pumps both domestically and to international markets and the venture will allow Clyde Pumps to offer a full portfolio of aftermarket services for the large installed base of Weir Pumps in India.
